The purpose of my ePortfolio is to provide a snapshot of my web
design and skills, as well as to demonstrate my ability to use a wide
variety of digital applications by producing multimedia artifacts for
my Designing Integrated Media Environments class.
I am a native born Texan, currently in my 8th year of teaching high
school. Before becoming a teacher, I graduated with a Bachelor’s'
Degree in History from the University of North Texas. By then, I was a
full-time Army wife and mother while my husband was on active duty.
After he transferred to the Army Reserves, I pursued a career in
education via alternative certification. Currently, I teach 10th grade
AP World History and live with my husband and two teenage sons. In my
role as campus lead AP World History teacher, I design lessons and
assessments to equip our students with the knowledge and skills
necessary to earn a passing score on the AP World History Exam. Beyond
testing, my goal every year is to instill effective study habits and
critical thinking skills in my students which will help them to be
successful in future college level courses.
